Educational Programs & Tours

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park offers a wide range of educational opportunities to meet your programming needs. Based on its unique approach of displaying native plants and wildlife in habitats depicting five natural regions of North America, ZooAmerica Educational Programs and Tours are designed to give participants new perspectives on our natural environment in ways that are both educational and fun.

 

Guided Tours

Groups of all ages can participate in Guided Tours which are led by naturalists or experienced volunteers. Each tour takes approximately one hour and is geared to the ages represented in the visitor group.

 

On-site Programs

A variety of On-Site Programs can be presented in our Education Room. Programs include live animal demonstrations and are presented by ZooAmerica naturalists or experienced volunteers. They range from 30 to 60 minutes in length. Following their program, groups may explore the Zoo at their leisure.

 

Animal Encounters

An Animal Encounter is a short presentation which gives a quick introduction to ZooAmerica and allows a group to observe one animal, up close and personal. The group may then explore the Zoo on their own.

Outreach Programs

Outreach Programs can be presented off-site throughout the year. The programs include a discussion on a specific topic and live animal demonstrations. An Outreach Program is a wonderful opportunity for classrooms, scout and church groups, camps, senior citizens and many other groups to experience a part of the Zoo at their own facility.

All Guided Tours, On-site Programs and Animal Encounters are offered to groups of 15 or more. They must be scheduled in advance and are offered during our regular operating hours. Outreach Programs can be booked at any time of year and must be scheduled in advance.

All ZooAmerica tours and programs support PA Academic Standards.
