Event Details: Why are some species endangered while others are flourishing? Join the PA Game Commission and ZooAmerica educators to examine the concepts and issues surrounding threatened and endangered species, explore the natural history of endangered and threatened species, investigate "how" and "why" species become endangered and threatened, examine laws affecting these species and explore methods biologists are using in species reintroduction. This workshop is designed for elementary and middle school teachers and non-formal educators who work with a variety of audiences including students, scouts and teachers, and correlates with the Environment and Ecology Standards and is approved for 6 ACT 48 hours and includes a field exploration of the diverse North American species found at ZooAmerica! Pre-registration is required. Registration Deadline: April 1, 2010 Casual dress. Be prepared to go outside and explore the zoo. ALL INFORMATION IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE
