ZooAmericaNorth American Wildlife Park is holding a Where the Wild Things Are event in celebration of the release of the movie adaptation of the popular children's book by Maurice Sendak.
On Sunday, October 11 from 2 to 4 p.m., guests visiting ZooAmerica can enter to win a variety of prizes, including family-of-four packages to Hersheypark in the Dark, which also provides access to the Zoo's Creatures of the Night Halloween festivities; an After-Hours Tour of the Zoo; or movie tickets to see Where the Wild Things Are, which will open in theaters on Friday, October 16.
Guests also can learn about the Zoo's own "wild things." ZooAmerica naturalists will give talks at the exhibits that house wolves and bears, two animals that are represented in the book and movie, and another naturalist will read the classic children's book at the Zoo's new education building at 3 p.m.
